A 15 year, retired member of the Canadian Forces, David started his service in 1995, where he spent 5 years with the 2nd Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, prior to his remuster in 2000 to the Military Police Trade. David served 2 tours of The Former Yugoslavia, 1 tour of Afghanistan, and numerous Humanitarian assistance deployments both local and abroad.
After being medically released in 2010, he spends his time volunteering with a local Cadet Squadron as a civilian instructor, as well as with a historical organization as a teacher of 18th century drill, and weapons handling.
He is an avid educator, loves history, as is available to talk about Canadian Forces History, or his experiences both within Canada, and on foreign soil.
The Memory Project includes a community of over 1,500 veterans and Canadian Forces members who are committed to sharing their stories of service.
